Sofitel Thalassa Luxury Hotel Set for Algiers Coastal Opening

The Accor group has announced the planned opening of the Sofitel Thalassa Alger Club des Pins in December 2026. This new high-end establishment will be situated in the Club des Pins area along the Algiers coastline, offering 182 rooms and suites, many with private terraces overlooking the Mediterranean.

A central feature of the Sofitel Thalassa Algiers will be its thalassotherapy institute, which is set to include 77 cabins dedicated to treatments and wellness services, including various pools. Accor presents this facility as Africa's largest thalassotherapy space, emphasizing an offering focused on relaxation and vitality. The hotel will also provide guests with a private beach facing the Mediterranean Sea.

The new hotel will also feature a significant culinary offering, with three restaurants, a lounge, and panoramic terraces. The gastronomy will draw inspiration from local specialties, combining refined cuisine with a focus on nutrition and well-being. Beyond tourism, the establishment will cater to professional events, featuring a modular room capable of accommodating up to 400 people. Additional services will include a swimming pool, parking, shuttle service, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, breakfast, and room service, with the facility designed to be wheelchair accessible and entirely non-smoking.

Strategically located, the hotel will offer proximity to several regional tourist sites, including the ancient ruins of Tipaza, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the Maqam Echahid, a prominent monument in the Algerian capital. This new address is expected to enhance Algiers' appeal by offering a sophisticated combination of seaside lodging, refined dining, and advanced thalassotherapy services.
