Wilayas See Public Transport Fleet Updated with New Buses

The operation to renew Algeria's national public transport fleet is actively progressing across the country's wilayas. This initiative, which involves replacing buses that have been in service for over 30 years with new vehicles, follows a decision by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. The Ministry of Interior, Local Communities, and Transport announced on Saturday that this sustained effort targets the modernization of national transport infrastructure.

The comprehensive renewal program aims to ensure that users have access to vehicles meeting modern standards of safety and comfort. It specifically includes private transporters, who are benefiting from state-provided facilities to update their fleets. This strategic approach ensures the progressive replacement of older vehicles with new, modern alternatives.

Supervised by Saïd Sayoud, the Minister of Interior, Local Communities, and Transport, the operation is closely monitored and supported by the transport directorates across the wilayas. This ongoing oversight underscores the commitment to upgrading collective transport methods, enhancing the quality of service, and improving travel conditions for Algerian citizens nationwide.
