A joint security unit comprising the People's National Army and Algerian Customs seized, yesterday, Monday, November 2, 2026, a quantity of 707.45 kg of narcotics (treated cannabis resin), following a search operation in the territory of the Béchar Military Sector, within the Third Military Region.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of National Defense, the operation falls within the framework of efforts to protect and secure the national borders and to continue the fight against organized crime, particularly drug trafficking of all kinds.
The statement added that this high-impact operation once again demonstrates the readiness and vigilance of the People's National Army units and the various security services in countering any attempts that threaten the safety and security of citizens.
