The electoral campaign for Algeria's municipal and provincial popular councils is officially set to commence tomorrow, Thursday. This launch marks the beginning of active engagement for political parties, which are preparing to present their electoral programs and slogans nationwide to attract voters for the upcoming elections scheduled for November 28.
Several political formations have already unveiled the slogans chosen for this electoral challenge. The Future Front adopted the motto "Strong Municipality... Productive Wilaya... Citizen Partner," with its president, Fateh Boutbiq, expected to initiate the campaign from Bechar wilaya tomorrow. Concurrently, the National Liberation Front (FLN) selected "Effective Local Councils... Sustainable Development in Loyalty to the Homeland," emphasizing its belief in local councils as crucial for development and public policy implementation.
The Socialist Forces Front (FFS) chose "Always Standing," a slogan it describes as carrying political, ethical, and resistance connotations, reflecting a long history of commitment and steadfastness. Separately, the Voice of the People Party will launch its campaign in Oran, in front of the Central Post Office, under the banner "Together for a Strong Algeria." This party's campaign will see candidates from 15 municipal lists and the provincial council list gather to formally begin their efforts, leveraging the historical significance of the chosen launch site to inspire national spirit and civic participation.
The Voice of the People Party's campaign strategy in Oran wilaya will involve communicating with citizens and adopting a door-to-door approach to raise awareness about the elections and explain their specific electoral programs, which will be tailored to the distinct needs of each territory. While other participating parties have yet to disclose their slogans, many have scheduled their initial electoral rallies for tomorrow, signifying a widespread commencement of engagement across the country.
