The sixth day of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025) in Algiers showcased Algeria’s commitment to science and innovation. Activities included an IATF hackathon that recognised African start-ups, sessions on Africa-U.S. relations, and discussions on digital trade and the AfCFTA private-sector platform. Under the slogan ‘Gateway to New Opportunities,’ the fair attracted delegations from 140 countries and more than 2 000 companies and is expected to yield trade agreements worth over US$44 billion. These initiatives underline Algeria’s leadership in science and technology and its drive to cultivate a borderless African digital economy.
