On Monday, FIFA announced severe sanctions against Samuel Eto’o, the 43-year-old President of the Cameroonian Football Federation. Eto’o has been banned from attending matches of the “Indomitable Lions” for a period of six months.
The ban stems from accusations of misconduct, with FIFA charging Eto’o with violating codes of ethics by engaging in hostile behavior and breaching fair play principles. This incident occurred during his presence at a match between Cameroon and Brazil in the Round of 16 of the U-20 Women’s World Cup, held in Bogotá, Colombia.
