USM Alger has concluded its final preparations for the CAF Supercup final, where the team will face Mamelodi Sundowns this Sunday. The Algiers club, competing in its fourth final across all competitions this year, holds a clear ambition to secure another continental title and achieve a historic fourth star for the club.
The team conducted its last training session at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, the venue for the match. All players who traveled with the team were present, including leading scorer Mohamed Amine Ramdaoui, who journeyed to South Africa with an ankle injury, and veteran midfielder Abderraouf Benghaith, who rejoined the squad after a foot injury recurrence. Coach Lamine Ndiaye’s team seeks to clinch its second continental title, building on their 2023 African Super Cup victory against Egyptian club Al Ahly in Saudi Arabia.
Adding to the team's morale, former club stars Nacer Guedioura and Hamdoud delivered motivational speeches to the players. They expressed their support and encouragement, urging team captain Saâdi Radouani’s teammates to exert maximum effort and maintain high levels of focus and responsibility in the upcoming match. This visit by the former Algerian internationals highlights the enduring loyalty within the club’s generations and the collective support for the team in significant competitions, aiming to bring joy to USM Alger supporters and the Algerian people.
