Greek Parliament Speaker Confirms Convergent Views with Tebboune

Greek Parliament Speaker Nikitas Kaklamanis concluded a working visit to Algeria on Monday, following high-level discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation. During his visit, Mr. Kaklamanis met with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Minister of Hydrocarbons Mohamed Arkab, addressing various aspects of the Algeria-Greece relationship.

Following his reception by President Tebboune, Speaker Kaklamanis affirmed a convergence of views between Algeria and Greece on files of common interest. He stated that the meeting covered numerous topics, noting the alignment of perspectives. Mr. Kaklamanis also conveyed sentiments of friendship and solidarity from the Greek people to the Algerian people and to President Tebboune personally, expressing admiration for Algeria's achievements since independence and offering congratulations to the President.

A significant part of the visit included discussions with Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons Mohamed Arkab. The talks focused on strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation, with a particular emphasis on the hydrocarbons sector, indicating a mutual interest in deepening economic ties in this strategic area.

The visit concluded on Monday, with Speaker Kaklamanis departing from Houari Boumediene International Airport, where he was seen off by Speaker of the Council of the Nation, Azouz Nasri. The engagements during the visit highlighted the ongoing efforts to foster stronger diplomatic and economic relations between Algeria and Greece.
