Men’s Table Tennis Team Reaches African Championship Final

Algeria's national men's table tennis team has advanced to the final of the African Championship, held in Tangier, Morocco. This success followed their 3-1 victory over Madagascar in the semi-finals, securing the team at least a silver medal in the continental competition. The Algerian men's team is now set to compete against Egypt in the championship final.
During the decisive semi-final encounter, Madagascar initially took a lead, with Antoine Razafinarivo winning the first match against Algeria's Maheidine Bella. However, the Algerian team quickly reversed the momentum, securing three consecutive victories. Stéphane Ouaiche defeated Fabio Rakotoarimanana 3-0, and Milhane Jellouli followed with another 3-0 win against Timiary Rabemanantsoa. The team's qualification was sealed when Antoine Razafinarivo conceded the fourth match 1-3.
This achievement highlights a strong showing for Algerian table tennis at the championship. Earlier in the tournament, the Algerian women's team also demonstrated their competitive edge, defeating Madagascar 3-0 in their group stage match. The African Championship is scheduled to continue with doubles and singles events.
