Project Law of Finances 2027 Forecasts 125,675 Public Sector Recruitments

The Project Law of Finances (PLF) for 2027 details plans to mobilize 125,675 budgetary positions within the Algerian public sector. This comprehensive initiative includes the creation of 82,948 new posts alongside the filling of 42,727 currently vacant positions. The primary focus of these recruitments is directed towards strengthening crucial public services, particularly within the National Education and Health sectors, which are slated to receive the bulk of the new allocations.

Foremost among the sectors targeted for expansion is National Education, which anticipates 46,223 new posts. Following closely, the Health sector is projected to benefit from 28,329 additional positions. Together, these two sectors account for a significant majority of the new roles planned for 2027, underscoring their importance in the national development agenda. Further allocations are also designated for other ministerial departments, including 2,800 posts for Higher Education and Scientific Research, 2,518 for Finance, 1,034 for National Solidarity, and 500 for Internal Trade.

This extensive recruitment program is accompanied by an anticipated increase in personnel expenditures, reflecting a substantial government investment in its workforce. Personnel spending is projected to reach 5,916.8 billion dinars in 2027, representing a 2.6% rise from the revised credits of 2026. The overall wage bill is estimated at approximately 6,087 billion dinars, covering new hires, vacant posts, periodic promotions, and revised indemnity schemes. These provisions are consistent with measures initiated in 2026 across vital sectors, ensuring continuity in enhancing public services.
