500,000 AADL 3 Homes Underway or Slated for Launch

Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, the Minister of Housing, Urban Planning, and City, recently announced a significant expansion of the "AADL 3" housing program with the upcoming launch of an additional 300,000 housing units nationwide. This new initiative complements the 200,000 units currently under construction within the same program, bringing the total number of AADL 3 units either underway or slated for launch to 500,000. The announcement underscores the government's commitment to addressing housing needs across Algeria.
The AADL 3 program, which commenced subscriptions on July 5, 2024, is progressing with accelerated project completion rates. Upcoming distributions of some AADL 3 units are anticipated to coincide with the commemoration of the 72nd anniversary of the November Revolution. Furthermore, the ministry is preparing to issue payment orders for the second tranche of the program, with studies underway to potentially divide this payment into two installments to facilitate the process for subscribers. This approach follows the model applied to the first tranche, which was paid in two phases.
Beyond individual housing units, the program is guided by a strategic urban vision focusing on the creation of integrated urban poles. This initiative involves the development of 47 urban poles across 38 wilayas, encompassing an overall area exceeding 30,000 hectares. The initial phase includes the development of 16 urban poles, spanning 7,875 hectares, designed to accommodate 493,559 housing units. These new developments will incorporate modern urban planning principles, featuring comprehensive public facilities such as schools and healthcare centers, alongside technical enhancements like central heating to ensure resident comfort.
Minister Belaribi has conducted inspection tours in several wilayas, including Bordj Bou Arréridj, Mila, Oum El Bouaghi, and Constantine, confirming the readiness and advanced stages of construction in various AADL 3 sites. Specifically, Bordj Bou Arréridj is set to receive 11,000 units, Mila 7,225 units, and Oum El Bouaghi 5,150 units, with the Sissaoui urban pole in Constantine contributing 8,050 units. These efforts reflect the state's resolve to fulfill its commitments and meet the aspirations of citizens for dignified housing.
