Algeria’s U19 men’s volleyball team was eliminated from the 2025 World Championship after a 3-0 loss to Japan on Tuesday in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, during the final Group B match. The set scores were 25-18, 25-21, and 25-18. Needing a win to qualify for the Round of 16, the Algerian team struggled against a disciplined Japanese side. This marks their fourth defeat of the tournament, following earlier losses to Bulgaria, France, and China, all by 3-0, with a single win against Canada (3-1). Algeria finishes fifth in the group with three points and will now play classification matches for ranks 17 to 24. The team had qualified for the World Championship by securing third place at the 2024 African Nations Championship in Tunisia.
