African Nations Championship 2024: Algeria Draws 1-1 with South Africa

In Kampala, the Algerian national football team for local players drew 1-1 against South Africa in their second Group C match of the 2024 African Nations Championship (postponed to 2025). Belhousini opened the scoring for Algeria in the 29th minute, while Kutumela equalized for South Africa in stoppage time of the first half. This result follows Algeria’s 3-0 victory over hosts Uganda in their opening match, keeping them temporarily at the top of the group with 4 points. Guinea sits second with 3 points, followed by South Africa with 1 point, while Niger and Uganda remain without points.
