Algiers – The Algerian Airlines company announced on Wednesday the opening of a new air route connecting Algiers, the capital of Algeria, to N’Djamena, the capital of Chad, with a stopover in Douala, Cameroon. This route will start operating from October 21 as part of the winter season schedule.
The company stated that this new route is implemented following the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed at enhancing air connectivity between Algeria and countries across Africa. The move also seeks to strengthen economic, commercial, and cultural cooperation with the brotherly Republic of Chad.
The route will be operated via Douala, benefiting from the “Fifth Freedom” air transport rights, allowing Algerian Airlines to organize regular flights between Algiers and N’Djamena through Douala. Customers will also be able to purchase tickets for travel between Douala and N’Djamena both ways.
Beyond facilitating travel between the two countries, the new route will open new horizons for partnerships and development of exchanges serving shared interests. This line represents a step in the strategy of Algerian Airlines to expand its African network and cement Algeria’s role as a regional hub in air transport, responding to the aspirations of its valued customers.
