A series of traffic accidents across the country resulted in six fatalities and 217 injuries in the last 24 hours, according to the General Directorate of Civil Protection.
Civil Protection units responded to a total of 2,907 incidents during this period, averaging one intervention every 29 seconds. Of these, 176 were related to traffic accidents, leading to the tragic loss of six lives and causing injuries to 217 individuals.
The Civil Protection services also reported responding to three separate incidents involving gas leaks, requiring the rescue and treatment of five people. The Directorate urges citizens to exercise caution on the roads and to ensure proper maintenance of gas appliances to prevent future incidents.
