Algiers, Algeria – In a move to bolster local administration, three new governors have been appointed to delegated districts within the Algiers province. The installation ceremony, held this Saturday, was overseen by the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, Said Saayoud, alongside the Governor of Algiers Province, Mohamed Abdenour Rabehi.
These appointments are part of a partial reshuffle initiated by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, affecting both governors and delegated governors across the nation. The changes aim to improve efficiency and responsiveness within the provincial administration.
Specifically, Abdel Fattah Ben Karkoura has been appointed as the Governor of the Cheraga administrative district. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, tasked with overseeing development and addressing local concerns within this important area.
Furthermore, Herez Maamari assumes the position of Governor for the Dar El Beida administrative district. Dar El Beida, a significant economic and residential hub, will benefit from Maamari’s leadership in managing its continued growth and ensuring the well-being of its residents.
Finally, Zidi Abdelmalek has been appointed as the Governor of the Sidi M’hamed delegated province. Sidi M’hamed, known for its historical significance and vibrant commercial activity, will see Abdelmalek focus on preserving its heritage while fostering economic opportunities.
