Tipaza, Algeria – The Ministry of Health has issued a statement reassuring residents of Tipaza that no injuries or cases of suffocation have been reported as of this evening, following the outbreak of wildfires in several forests within the province. The Ministry emphasized that the health situation is currently under control.
Minister of Health, Mohamed Sadik Ait Messoudan, is reportedly monitoring the situation closely, ensuring that all necessary preventative measures and readiness protocols are in place to protect the population and support ongoing relief efforts.
All health institutions in Tipaza, including hospitals and polyclinics, have been placed on high alert. These facilities have been reinforced with additional medical and paramedical staff, as well as essential resources to manage any potential emergencies.
Furthermore, the major burns center in Zéralda has been placed on standby, prepared to provide specialized treatment for any complex cases, further bolstering the health system’s capabilities within the province.
To enhance health monitoring, the Ministry has established a dedicated cell to care for individuals affected by smoke inhalation. This cell will provide medical examinations and psychological support, particularly for vulnerable groups such as those with chronic illnesses and children.
The Ministry urges residents to remain calm, adhere to instructions from Civil Protection authorities, and seek medical attention at the nearest health facility if they experience any respiratory symptoms resulting from smoke inhalation.
