Tipaza, Algeria – Civil Protection units successfully extinguished all active forest fire outbreaks in the western regions of Tipaza province late Friday. The fires, which ignited mid-day Thursday, prompted a rapid response from local authorities and firefighting teams.
Ibrahim Kouas, the local Director of Civil Protection for Tipaza, confirmed the complete containment of the blazes. Speaking to DZWatch, Kouas praised the tireless efforts of the firefighters, highlighting their dedication in battling the flames across challenging terrain.
“Our teams worked relentlessly throughout the night and day to bring these fires under control,” Kouas stated. “The swift response and coordinated efforts of all involved were crucial in preventing further damage to our precious natural resources.”
