Annaba, Algeria – The Voice of the People party held a regional meeting for the eastern provinces in Annaba on Saturday evening, with the participation of female activists and party officials.
Lamine Osmani, the party’s president, emphasized the vital role of Algerian women in political life during his address. He called for increased representation of women in decision-making positions, recognizing them as essential partners in building Algeria and a powerful force in embodying the values of citizenship, participation, and community development.
Osmani stressed that equality between men and women in political work, and the promotion of women’s presence and opportunities, is a firm conviction within the Voice of the People party. The party is committed to empowering women and providing them with political training to ensure their conscious and effective participation in public affairs, in line with the party’s principles and national goals. This commitment also aims to strengthen the internal front and enhance national cohesion.
Furthermore, Osmani commended the Algerian state’s position, under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in supporting the advancement of women’s status and their participation in political life, highlighting the alignment of the party’s positions with those of the state.
“We must work together to ensure that women’s voices are heard and that their contributions are valued at all levels of society,” Osmani stated. “Their active involvement is crucial for building a more just and prosperous Algeria.”
