Algiers – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the launch of a new online platform for scheduling appointments related to civil status matters. The platform will be operational starting Monday, November 24, 2025.
The announcement was made today, Sunday, by the Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib. According to a statement released by the ministry, the digital platform aims to streamline the process for individuals seeking civil status services and document authentication at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The initiative is expected to significantly reduce waiting times and improve the overall efficiency of service delivery. Citizens will now be able to book appointments online, selecting a date and time that suits their schedule. This will minimize congestion at the ministry and provide a more convenient experience for those requiring assistance with civil status documentation.
DZWatch understands that the platform will cover a range of services including birth certificate applications, marriage registrations, and other essential civil status procedures. The ministry encourages all individuals planning to visit the Civil Status Department to utilize the new online system to schedule their appointments in advance.
Further details regarding the platform’s features and functionalities will be made available on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website in the coming days. This digital transformation is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to modernize public services and enhance citizen engagement.
