Luanda – Minister of State and Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held bilateral talks with his Ivorian counterpart, Kakou Houaja Léon Adom, earlier today. The discussions took place on the sidelines of the 7th African Union-European Union Summit, currently underway in Luanda on November 24th and 25th, 2025.
The two ministers reviewed the state of bilateral relations between Algeria and Côte d’Ivoire. They agreed to initiate preparations for the next session of the Algerian-Ivorian Joint Committee.
DZWatch understands that the ministers also exchanged views on the evolving situation in the Sahel region. They emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination between Algeria and Côte d’Ivoire, particularly given their membership in the African Union’s Peace and Security Council.
