Housing Ministry Responds to Wadi Rhiou Flooding

Wadi Rhiou, October 27, 2025 – The Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning, and the City has launched an immediate field intervention following a landslide at the site of the 1007 AADL (Agence d’Amélioration et de Développement du Logement) housing project in Wadi Rhiou, Relizane province. The intervention comes in the wake of severe flooding that impacted the area.

According to a statement released by the Ministry earlier today, technical teams from the Directorate of Housing, the AADL agency, and the National Technical Control Authority for Construction (CTC) have been deployed to assess the situation firsthand. Their mission is to evaluate the extent of the damage and implement necessary precautionary measures to ensure the safety of residents.

The Ministry’s statement emphasizes that all available material and human resources have been mobilized to clear debris caused by the heavy rainfall and address the damage sustained at the site. The goal is to restore normalcy to the area as quickly as possible.
