Algiers, December 22, 2025 – Sonatrach has solidified its partnership with Indonesian energy company Pertamina through the signing of three service agreements. The signing ceremony took place at Sonatrach’s headquarters earlier today.
These agreements pertain to the lifting of crude oil, condensates, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) produced from the Menjel Ledjmet perimeter (Block 405a).
According to a company statement, these contracts, which fall under the framework of the hydrocarbon contract for the Menjel Ledjmet perimeter, will enable Pertamina to manage its products under optimal conditions at Algerian loading ports. Sonatrach will provide its services and expertise in the programming, coordination, and monitoring of crude oil, condensate, and LPG lifting operations belonging to Pertamina.
The hydrocarbon contract for the Menjel Ledjmet perimeter, established in accordance with Law 19-13 governing hydrocarbon activities under a production sharing system, came into effect on January 7, 2025, for a period of twenty-five (25) years. The contract involves Sonatrach, Pertamina, and Repsol.
These agreements underscore the robust commercial relationship between Sonatrach and Pertamina, which spans over 24 years of continuous cooperation in the hydrocarbon sector. This collaboration has been characterized by long-term purchase and sale agreements, as well as numerous spot transactions involving Saharan Blend crude oil, condensates, and LPG. This partnership highlights Algeria’s commitment to fostering strong international energy ties.
