High Authority for Transparency Reviews 2025 Results, Plans for 2026

The Council of the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention, and Fight Against Corruption convened its fourth ordinary session on Sunday, under the chairmanship of Professor Salima Mesrati and with the presence of council members. The meeting was held in accordance with Article 31 of Law No. 22-08, which governs the organization and powers of the High Authority.

In line with Article 29 of the same law, which defines its functions, the Council reviewed several key items. These included the approval of the High Authority’s activity report for the year 2025 and the approval of the High Authority’s action plan for 2026. The Council also discussed the implementation and disbursement of the annual budget for 2025 and approved the draft budget for the High Authority for 2026.

Furthermore, in accordance with legal provisions, the Council examined files potentially involving acts of corruption. A total of 18 files were reviewed, with 15 files being referred to the relevant Attorneys General regionally. Two files were referred to the Court of Accounts for further legal processing.

During the session, the Council also deliberated on cooperation projects and agreements with counterpart bodies in friendly countries. This aims to strengthen the prevention and fight against corruption and to develop cooperation with international organizations. This discussion took place within the context of the discussions held during the eleventh session of the Conference of the States Parties held in Doha, Qatar.

The High Authority continues its commitment to transparency and accountability in its efforts to combat corruption. The approved plans and reviewed cases demonstrate a proactive approach to addressing potential issues and fostering collaboration both domestically and internationally. The focus remains on upholding the principles of integrity and good governance.
