Heavy Thunderstorms Forecast for Several Algerian Regions

Algiers – Several regions of Algeria are bracing for heavy thunderstorms and rainfall, with accumulations potentially reaching 40mm in localized areas, according to weather forecasts.

The anticipated weather system is expected to bring rainfall amounts ranging from 20 to 40mm, commencing at noon today, Tuesday, and continuing through 6:00 AM Wednesday.

The affected regions include the coastal and eastern provinces of Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, and El Tarf. The rainfall is expected to be accompanied by thunder activity, potentially leading to localized flooding in low-lying areas.
