Prime Minister Sifi Grib led a government meeting Wednesday dedicated to examining several key projects and initiatives, according to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s office.
A central focus of the meeting was the presentation and discussion of the development of a social map of Algeria. This initiative aims to create a crucial decision-making tool, enabling a comprehensive system for planning, coordination, and monitoring of public policies.
The objective is to more effectively direct public policies and financial resources towards priority development programs at both the national and local levels. The social map is envisioned as a key instrument for targeted resource allocation.
The government also continued its review of projects registered within the framework of digital transformation, following directives from the President. This included an assessment of the progress of digitalization across various ministerial sectors. The aim is to enhance transparency, combat bureaucracy, and facilitate equitable and efficient access to information and public services for all citizens.
In this context, the government examined the ‘Dzair Digital Services’ project, a national digital services portal. This portal aims to streamline public digital services for citizens, contributing to improved quality and efficiency, and simplifying administrative procedures through unified access to digital services.
The platform is also expected to enhance information sharing between different government departments, providing a clearer overview for public policy development and implementation. This improved inter-agency communication will promote more effective governance.
Finally, the government addressed major public works projects, receiving updates on the progress of several initiatives related to the construction of urban centers, sports facilities, road infrastructure, and the development of Algerian airspace management. The monitoring of these projects underscores the government’s commitment to infrastructure development and modernization.
