Algiers – Sogral, the national bus transportation company, has announced an increase in the number of bus trips scheduled for this weekend. The move aims to ensure sufficient transportation options for travelers across the country.
In a statement released Wednesday, Sogral detailed plans to augment services on routes experiencing high demand. This enhancement will be implemented across its various bus stations and will remain in effect until Sunday.
Sogral encourages passengers to utilize postal and bank cards, or to purchase their tickets online via the MAHATATI application. These measures are designed to streamline the booking process and minimize congestion at ticket counters.
“These efforts are in direct response to directives from the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and the Minister of Transportation, Said Saiud,” the statement emphasized. The goal is to guarantee readily available transportation, ensure smooth passenger flow, and provide optimal service to citizens as the winter holiday period concludes.
The increased bus services are expected to ease travel for many Algerians returning home or embarking on weekend excursions. Sogral aims to provide a comfortable and efficient travel experience for all passengers.
The company reminded travelers to check the Sogral website or MAHATATI application for updated schedules and availability. They also advise passengers to arrive at the bus station with ample time before their departure.
