RND is the Property of the Algerian People, Says Secretary-General

Ksar El Boukhari, Algeria – The Secretary-General of the National Democratic Rally (RND), Mounther Boudhen, declared that the RND belongs to the Algerian people, not to individuals or narrow agendas. Boudhen made the statement during a public gathering in Ksar El Boukhari on Saturday.

“The RND is a party of the people, for the people,” Boudhen stated. “It carries the concerns of citizens, listens to their worries, and defends their legitimate aspirations.” He contrasted this approach with that of other politicians who, he alleged, seek to evade their responsibilities by spreading falsehoods and misleading public opinion for their own narrow interests.

Addressing the widespread public discourse surrounding the new traffic law, Boudhen described it as “clear evidence of the vitality of democratic practice.” He characterized the public debate as a healthy phenomenon that reflects society’s awareness and its right to express reservations about proposed legislation. “This natural democratic phenomenon should not be transformed into an artificial drama exploited by political opportunists,” he cautioned.

Boudhen emphasized the RND’s commitment to engaging directly with the public. “We went into the field, met with drivers in the street, and listened directly to their concerns,” he said. “We will work to raise these concerns with the relevant authorities to address them within a responsible institutional framework.”

The Secretary-General affirmed that the RND will remain an open political space, aligned with the citizens, committed to serving Algeria, and defending its stability and development. “The RND will always defend the interests of the Algerian people”, Boudhen concluded.
