Algiers – The National Pension Fund (CNP) has released an important statement regarding the continuous disbursement of pensions and retirement benefits. The CNP clarified the schedule for the periodic renewal of identification documents for beneficiaries of pensions and allowances. Individuals born in January are required to renew their documents during January 2026.
This measure is part of the Fund’s ongoing efforts to improve services provided to pensioners and streamline the document renewal process on a regular basis, according to a specific schedule based on the month of birth.
The National Pension Fund has announced two methods for beneficiaries to renew their identification documents:
Method 1: Via the ‘RetraiteDZ’ Mobile Application: This option is presented as the easiest and most flexible for pensioners, allowing them to complete the renewal process remotely without having to visit agencies, saving time and effort.
Direct Pension: The facial recognition feature (R-Face) is used to verify that the direct pension beneficiary is still alive, ensuring the continued payment of the pension.
Transferred Pension: Beneficiaries must confirm their identity using the same feature, then scan the required documents (depending on the case) with the phone’s camera and upload them directly via the application. After confirming the success of the process, the beneficiary receives a notification via the application confirming the successful completion of the renewal process.
Method 2: Visit the Local CNP Agency: Beneficiaries can go directly to the local office of the National Pension Fund to complete the renewal process in the traditional manner.
The National Pension Fund adopts an organized strategy aimed at simplifying administrative procedures by setting an annual renewal date for each pensioner according to their month of birth, which facilitates monitoring of the process by beneficiaries and ensures its regularity. This mechanism is part of the efforts made to improve administrative services and facilitate procedures related to pensions and allowances.
The documents required vary depending on the type of pension and the marital status of the beneficiary. For direct pensions, a renewed family civil status certificate with marginal data is required.
