Algiers, Algeria – Algeria has expressed its condolences following the death of former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. Abdelmalek Tachetaft, Minister of Mujahideen and Veterans, visited the Bangladeshi embassy in Algiers today to sign the book of condolences on behalf of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The signing ceremony, which took place at the embassy in the Algerian capital, served as a mark of respect for the late Prime Minister Zia and a demonstration of solidarity between Algeria and Bangladesh.
Khaleda Zia, a prominent figure in Bangladeshi politics, served as Prime Minister on multiple occasions. Her passing marks the end of an era for the South Asian nation.
