Laghouat – Algerian Customs officials in Laghouat have dealt a significant blow to drug trafficking networks, seizing a massive quantity of hallucinogenic pills concealed within a trailer truck.
The operation, a result of close coordination between customs units in Djelfa and Ghattara, along with the National People’s Army and the National Gendarmerie in Messaad, led to the confiscation of 723,300 Pregabalin pills at a concentration of 300mg.
According to a statement, the seized narcotics were meticulously hidden inside the trailer, in an attempt to deceive law enforcement. However, the vigilance and coordinated efforts of the security forces led to the discovery and thwarting of the operation.
