Oran, Algeria – Authorities in Bir El Djir, Oran, have successfully dismantled a criminal network of five individuals involved in the trafficking of hard drugs. The operation resulted in the seizure of 133 grams of cocaine and over 61 million centimes in proceeds, along with a vehicle used to facilitate their illicit activities.
According to a statement released by the Oran police, the operation was launched following intelligence indicating suspicious activity by the suspects. The individuals were reportedly using their residences as hubs for storing, packaging, and transporting the narcotics for distribution throughout urban areas.
After a period of surveillance and monitoring of their movements, and the identification of their identities and whereabouts, a carefully planned operation was executed, leading to the arrest of the suspects one by one.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against those implicated in the case. The individuals were subsequently presented before the courts, where detention orders were issued.
The dismantling of this drug trafficking ring represents a significant victory for law enforcement in Oran and demonstrates their commitment to combating organized crime and protecting the community from the harmful effects of drug abuse.
