Tissemsilt: Drug Trafficking Ring Dismantled, Suspects Arrested

Tissemsilt, Algeria – Law enforcement authorities in Tissemsilt have successfully dismantled a criminal network involved in the trafficking of psychotropic substances. The operation, conducted by the territorial group of the National Gendarmerie, specifically the security and investigation unit in Tissemsilt, targeted a group operating within the province and neighboring regions.

According to a statement released by the National Gendarmerie, the operation resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of drugs. Authorities confiscated 5,739 psychotropic tablets of the Pregabalin 300mg type. In addition to the drugs, a Toyota Hilux vehicle, two motorcycles, and a sum of 252,160.00 Algerian Dinars were seized as evidence.

Nine individuals were apprehended during the operation and are currently in custody. Following the completion of the investigation, a legal file has been prepared for the individuals involved, and they have been referred to the judicial authorities for prosecution.

This successful operation underscores the ongoing efforts of Algerian law enforcement to combat drug trafficking and maintain public safety throughout the country. The authorities remain committed to disrupting criminal networks and bringing perpetrators to justice.
