Algeria Showcases Tourism at Vakantiebeurs in Netherlands

Algeria is participating in the 55th edition of Vakantiebeurs, the tourism and travel fair being held in Utrecht, Netherlands, from January 8th to 11th, 2026. The National Tourism Office, along with several tourism operators, will represent Algeria at the event.

This participation aligns with the tourism and traditional industry sector’s strategy to strengthen the presence of Algeria as a tourist destination in promising international markets. The strategy emphasizes consistent participation in specialized global tourism events, particularly those held in countries considered potential sources of tourism for Algeria.

Vakantiebeurs is a leading international exhibition specializing in tourism and travel. It serves as a key platform for showcasing global tourist destinations and a professional space for communication and partnership-building among various stakeholders in the tourism sector internationally.

Algeria’s presence at Vakantiebeurs will provide an opportunity to highlight the country’s rich natural and cultural tourism assets and promote the national tourism product in its various forms. Special emphasis will be placed on Saharan tourism, considered a major strength of the Algerian destination. The event will also facilitate the strengthening of cooperation and the conclusion of partnership agreements in the field of tourism exchange.

The National Tourism Office has reserved a dedicated pavilion to host the “Algeria Pavilion.” The pavilion has been designed to reflect the diversity and richness of the Algerian tourist destination, and it is equipped with modern communication tools to support promotion and marketing efforts. This will enable participating tourism operators to showcase their products and services effectively.

The previous edition of Vakantiebeurs saw the participation of more than 782 exhibitors representing 118 countries and attracted over 72,000 visitors, underscoring the event’s significant international standing within the global tourism exhibition calendar. Algeria aims to capitalize on this opportunity to attract more tourists and investment to its burgeoning tourism sector.
