Strong Winds Expected to Hit Several Algerian Provinces

Algiers, Algeria – Several provinces across Algeria are bracing for strong winds, according to a special weather advisory issued today. The National Meteorological Office has warned of powerful westerly winds expected to impact multiple regions, potentially causing disruption and hazardous conditions.

The affected provinces include Chlef, Tipaza, Algiers, Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, and Bejaia. The advisory indicates that wind speeds will range between 50 and 70 kilometers per hour. The strong winds are expected to begin at 10:00 AM today and persist until 4:00 AM on Saturday.

Residents in these areas are urged to take necessary precautions to secure loose objects, avoid unnecessary travel, and stay informed about the latest weather updates.

A separate weather alert has also been issued for the eastern provinces of Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, and El Tarf. These regions will also experience westerly winds of similar intensity, commencing at 10:00 AM today and lasting until 10:00 AM on Saturday. Authorities are advising citizens in these areas to exercise caution and remain vigilant.
