Algiers – The Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion is calling on economic operators who have submitted their preliminary import programs for raw materials, inputs, and equipment intended for production in the first half of 2026 to finalize the remaining procedures related to this process.
In a statement released yesterday, the ministry clarified that operators who submitted their preliminary programs for management and/or equipment purposes, and which have been approved by its services, are urged to check the status of their files through their accounts on the digital platform. Specifically, they should ensure that the word ‘Processed’ appears in the processing status field.
The ministry emphasized that the concerned operators must approach the bank they previously selected to complete the bank domiciliation procedures within the specified deadlines. Failure to do so may result in delays or complications in the import process.
This announcement is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to streamline import procedures and ensure the smooth flow of essential goods needed for domestic production. By proactively addressing potential bottlenecks, the ministry aims to support economic growth and stability.
The call to action specifically targets imports planned for the first semester of 2026, allowing businesses ample time to complete the necessary steps. The ministry’s digital platform provides a centralized location for businesses to track their applications and communicate with relevant authorities.
The Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion reiterated its commitment to facilitating trade and supporting the Algerian economy through efficient and transparent import processes.
