DZWatch Exclusive: Candidates applying for teaching positions in the upcoming national recruitment drive have been given a strict 24-hour deadline to rectify errors in their applications. Several regional education directorates have notified applicants across all three educational levels (primary, middle, and secondary) that their files have been flagged as ‘non-compliant’ due to issues identified during the initial review process.
Applicants who received this notification must immediately log back into their online application portals and address the specific concerns raised. The deadline for correcting these errors is today, Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
Clarifications have been issued by the Directorate of Education for the Wilaya of Mascara, detailing how academic transcripts will be evaluated. These clarifications include:
1. For candidates holding a Master’s degree obtained after a Bachelor’s degree, the evaluation will be based on the overall GPA of the two-year Master’s program.
2. For candidates holding a Master’s degree obtained after an Engineering degree, the evaluation will be based on the overall GPA of the one-year Master’s program.
3. For candidates holding an Engineering degree, the evaluation will be based on the overall GPA of the five-year Engineering program.
The seniority of the degree will be determined based on the date of deliberation (graduation date) indicated on the official transcript, not the date of issuance of the diploma itself. If the transcript only includes the month and year of deliberation, the 30th of that month will be used as the day. If only the year is provided, December 31st of that year will be considered the date.
Candidates are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information provided in their applications. Providing incorrect information or documentation may result in disqualification from the recruitment process. Failure to correct identified errors within the stipulated timeframe will lead to the candidate’s automatic and final exclusion from the competition. The Ministry of Education urges all affected applicants to act swiftly to ensure their applications are complete and accurate.
