Algeria has achieved the top global ranking in the number of activities organized during the 17th edition of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2025. The announcement was made by the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN).
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises, this recognition highlights Algeria’s significant participation in GEW, which was held under the high patronage of the Prime Minister.
The statement emphasized the broad participation witnessed during this year’s event, involving various stakeholders within the national entrepreneurship ecosystem. These included ministerial departments, support and mentorship organizations, startups, micro-enterprises, and both national and international partners.
This edition of GEW served as a powerful indicator of national mobilization, reflecting the growing interest in entrepreneurship and embodying the event’s theme: ‘Together, We Build’. The significant number of activities demonstrates Algeria’s commitment to fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial environment and supporting the growth of innovative ventures.
