Athens, Greece – The third session of the Algerian-Greek Joint Commission convened today in Athens, marking a significant step in bolstering bilateral relations between the two nations.
The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Sofiane Chaib, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, representing Algeria, and Mr. Harry Theocharis, the Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs responsible for Economic Diplomacy and Promotion.
Discussions focused on exploring new avenues for cooperation across various sectors, including trade, investment, energy, and cultural exchange. Both sides expressed a strong commitment to deepening their partnership and fostering mutual understanding.
“This Joint Commission meeting provides a valuable platform for us to identify concrete opportunities to strengthen our economic and strategic ties,” stated Mr. Chaib during the opening session. “Algeria is keen to work closely with Greece to achieve shared prosperity and stability in the region.”
Mr. Theocharis echoed these sentiments, highlighting Greece’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Algeria. He emphasized the importance of leveraging the two countries’ respective strengths to create mutually beneficial partnerships.
