Adjal Receives Delegation from Egypt’s Elsewedy Electric

The Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mourad Adjal, received on Tuesday a delegation of key officials from Elsewedy Electric Algeria, led by Mostafa Awad El-Halawani, General Manager of Elsewedy Electric Algeria. The meeting discussed the status of cooperation with the Egyptian partner and the progress of various agreements between the Algerian energy operator Sonelgaz and Elsewedy Electric.

During the meeting at the ministry, attended by several senior officials, Minister Mourad Adjal discussed the state of cooperation between Sonelgaz and Elsewedy Electric, praising the Egyptian partner’s commitment to its obligations.

Adjal noted that the sector’s current priority is accessing foreign markets, particularly in Africa and the Middle East, especially in high-demand areas such as energy equipment manufacturing, engineering, and the construction of power plants and transformation centers.

The Minister emphasized that the business climate is highly conducive to investment in both Algeria and Egypt, which strengthens opportunities for entering foreign markets. He also addressed the expansion of Elsewedy Electric’s activities in Algeria, including the manufacturing of electrical cable accessories, high-voltage electrical insulators, and high-voltage electrical transformers.

For his part, Mostafa Awad El-Halawani highlighted his company’s desire to expand cooperation with Sonelgaz, which he described as Elsewedy’s most important partner, confirming commitment to all agreements made with the company.

Concluding the meeting, Minister Mourad Adjal issued instructions to accelerate the pace of work regarding the cooperation between Sonelgaz and Elsewedy, specifically concerning the expansion into African markets, given the significant expertise both parties possess in the industrial field.
