On Monday, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, received members of the National Federation of Hotels and Tourism, led by Abdelouahab Boulefkhad, at the ministry’s headquarters. This meeting is part of an initiative to involve various economic actors and professional representatives, and to support economic operators in their efforts to develop activities related to foreign trade.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss ways to enhance the contribution of the hotel and tourism services sector in opening new horizons for service exports, especially given the growing interest in the Algerian destination at both regional and international levels.
During the meeting, the concerns and proposals of sector professionals were heard, particularly regarding ways to support operators in this field to help increase the competitiveness of Algerian hotel establishments.
On this occasion, the Minister emphasized the sector’s commitment to continuing coordination and consultation with various professional actors and encouraging initiatives that support service exports, within the framework of national trends aimed at diversifying the national economy.
