Serbian Prime Minister Confirms Country’s Desire to Strengthen Relations with Algeria

Serbian Prime Minister Djuro Matsut confirmed his country’s sincere political will to strengthen relations with Algeria, recalling the shared history between the two countries since the Algerian Revolution and the post-independence era as a foundation for building strong relations in various fields.

In his speech during a reception today, Tuesday, by Prime Minister Saifi Gharib at the Prime Ministry headquarters, Matsut explained the importance of activating bilateral cooperation mechanisms, led by the Joint Committee for Cooperation between the two countries.

Matsut emphasized the importance of implementing various agreed-upon cooperation activities and programs and exploring new horizons for partnership, particularly in the economic and trade sectors.

Regarding regional and international issues, the Serbian Prime Minister highlighted the shared vision reflected in the positions of both countries concerning commitment to international legitimacy and respect for state sovereignty and United Nations resolutions as a guarantee for peace and stability worldwide.
