The Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Security, Abdelhak Saihi, directed on Thursday the necessity of addressing appeals from young people who were unable to benefit from the unemployment allowance.
During an inspection visit to the Algiers branch of the National Social Insurance Fund for Salaried Workers and the local agency of the National Retirement Fund in Algiers Center, Minister Saihi ordered the update of the “Insat” digital platform to handle and process appeals remotely. This update aims to enable applicants to track the status of their appeals transparently and easily, ensuring their right to a review of the decisions made regarding their cases.
The government official also emphasized that responses must be convincing, immediate, and backed by legal evidence. He stressed the importance of strengthening digital support mechanisms and improving the quality of public services to reflect the sector’s commitment to the principles of fairness, efficiency, and transparency.
Furthermore, the Minister called for the mobilization of the necessary human and technical resources to ensure the smooth operation of the platform. He highlighted the need for periodic monitoring of its effectiveness and performance evaluation to meet the expectations of young people and enhance their trust in state institutions.
