Ali Aoun, the Algerian Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, has declared 2024 as a pivotal year for the accountability of managers, urging them to double their efforts in revitalizing the sector’s enterprises. During his speech in Djelfa province on Tuesday evening, Aoun highlighted the management issues plaguing public institutions, stating that the problems do not lie within the institutions themselves but stem from management and personnel issues.

He provided insights and instructions on recovering unutilized property, developing small and medium-sized enterprises, the new law on economic property, and addressing the challenges faced by public enterprises, including the cement factory and ENIE, as well as the industrial zone of Ain Oussera, which requires prompt development to welcome new investment projects.

Aoun emphasized that the challenges faced by these institutions are not inherent to the institutions themselves but are rather issues related to management and human resources. He reaffirmed his sector’s commitment to exerting all efforts to ensure Djelfa province joins the ranks of industrial states.

In the same context, Aoun oversaw the signing of a partnership agreement between the industry sector and vocational training to benefit trainees in the industrial sector at vocational training centers in the province. Additionally, during his visit, 58 exploitation licenses were granted, including 8 final licenses and 49 exceptional licenses that were converted to final licenses.
