Algeria and Jordan Strengthen Energy Partnership in High-Level Hydrocarbons Talks

Algeria’s Minister of State for Hydrocarbons, Mohamed Arkab, held talks on Tuesday with Jordan’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Saleh Ali Hamed Al-Kharabsheh, to explore ways of bolstering bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.

The video conference, attended by Jordan’s Ambassador to Algeria and senior officials from the Algerian Ministry of Hydrocarbons, focused on expanding partnerships between the two countries’ energy institutions and developing trade exchanges — particularly in crude oil exports, liquefied petroleum gas, and liquefied natural gas.

Both sides also discussed opportunities for Algeria to supply Jordan with these strategic resources, as well as cooperation in the distribution and storage of petroleum products.

The two ministers exchanged views on international hydrocarbons market developments and shared perspectives on issues of mutual interest.

Al-Kharabsheh told dzwatch the discussions were highly productive, stressing Jordan’s strong desire to deepen its strategic partnership with Algeria and intensify economic consultations in ways that serve both nations’ shared interests.
