Algeria’s Minister of State for Hydrocarbons, Mohamed Arkab, held a video conference Tuesday with Jordan’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Saleh Ali Hamed Al-Kharabsheh, in a meeting that signaled deepening bilateral energy cooperation.
The two ministers reviewed cooperation frameworks in the hydrocarbons sector, focusing on strengthening institutional partnerships and expanding trade exchanges — particularly in crude oil exports, liquefied petroleum gas, and liquefied natural gas. Discussions also covered opportunities to supply Jordan with these vital energy resources, alongside distribution and storage of petroleum products.
Both sides exchanged views on international energy market developments and shared perspectives on matters of mutual strategic interest.
Al-Kharabsheh told dzwatch that the talks were highly productive, expressing Jordan’s strong desire to deepen its partnership with Algeria and intensify economic consultations and expertise-sharing for the benefit of both nations.
