Algeria’s agricultural mechanization company Agrodraif, a branch of the Agrodif Group, has deployed significant material and technical resources across multiple wilayas to ensure the success of the 2025-2026 harvest and threshing campaign, launched starting from southern provinces in line with the President’s directives to provide farmers with essential mechanization tools.
The agriculture, rural development, and maritime fishing sector has mobilized 332 harvesters — backed by private sector resources — currently deployed across southern wilayas, along with 765 trucks dedicated to transporting crops to collection centers, greatly improving working conditions for farmers to widespread acclaim.
Agrodraif also deployed mobile technical teams for on-site equipment maintenance, ensuring uninterrupted operations throughout the harvest period.
This effort, dzwatch has learned, is part of the broader dynamic driven by the establishment of the National Agricultural Mechanization Council, which will oversee equipment maintenance, spare parts supply, expansion of cultivated areas, and long-term agricultural productivity gains nationwide.
