Algeria's Ministry of Justice is championing the professional advancement of its female judiciary through a significant international training initiative. Twenty-five female judges and one justice sector official are participating in a specialized course on "Leadership Skills," held from June 1 to June 5, 2026, at the International Training Centre of the United Nations in Turin, Italy.

This crucial training session is part of an ongoing collaboration between the Ministry of Justice and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The initiative falls under the umbrella of the joint "Ministry of Justice – PNUD" cooperation project, which is dedicated to fostering and supporting the career trajectories of women in the Algerian judiciary.
