Petković Vows Maximum Effort from Algeria to Avoid Early World Cup Exit, Aims for Round of 16

National team coach Vladimir Petković has asserted that Algeria will give their utmost effort in the 2026 World Cup finals, scheduled to commence on June 11th. In a press conference held today, Sunday, Petković highlighted that 'Les Verts' aim to make Algerian fans proud on the global stage.

He further stated, "We will strive to outperform all our opponents in the World Cup. Naturally, we have our own specific objectives." Petković expressed his hope that the players will fully utilize the current preparation period to achieve the desired level of tactical, technical, and physical readiness.

"We want to arrive at our first match in peak condition, and from there, we will play match by match and see what happens," he added. Concluding his remarks on the team's World Cup aspirations, the 'Greens' coach stated, "We will give everything to avoid returning home after three matches, and our goal is to reach the round of 16."
