Petković Reveals Algeria’s 26-Player Squad for 2026 World Cup

Algeria's national football team coach, Vladimir Petković, has unveiled the highly anticipated squad of 26 players, plus one reserve, selected for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Mohamed Sellah conference hall within the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki.

The Fennecs, drawn into Group J alongside defending champions Argentina, Jordan, and Austria, will commence their World Cup journey on June 11th and will face their group opponents on June 17th, 23rd, and 28th, respectively. The Algerian squad has already begun their preparation camp at the National Technical Center (CTN) in Sidi Moussa.

Further refining their readiness, the team is scheduled to play two friendly matches. The first will be against the Netherlands on June 3rd in Rotterdam, followed by a match against Bolivia on June 10th in Kansas City, United States. This pre-tournament phase is crucial for team cohesion and tactical preparation.

The 27-player list includes:
